Rarotonga Shopping

Head to downtown Avarua for Rarotonga’s biggest concentration of shops. Here you’ll find all sorts of souvenir shops, everyday goods stores, cafes and restaurants.

For self-caterers, head to CITC Supermarket out between Avarua and the airport - though there are plenty of smaller places to buy groceries scattered right around the island. There are also lots of roadside stalls selling fruit and vegetables around Rarotonga.

Punanga Nui Market on Saturday mornings should not be missed for socialising, shopping and brunch.

Keep your eyes open for one-off interesting independent stores and galleries when exploring the island.
