Porthminster Beach
Family friendly Cornish bay
Porthminster’s sweep of yellow sand sits right on the edge of the quintessential Cornish harbour town of St Ives.
Green lawns and trees edge the bay, St Ives’ boats and rooftops stretch out to one side. Access is easy - the pretty St Ives railway branch line stops a short stroll away.
St Ives is one of Cornwall’s main tourist honeypots, so Porthminster is often busy. Relatively safe swimming, mini golf and the acclaimed Porthminster Beach Cafe all add to the holiday feel.
