Levant Mine Walk

Hike beside cliffs and ruined mines (3.5 miles)

The abandoned Levant mine site

The wild, ruin-dotted cliffs around Levant Mine are a memorable place to hike. The South West Coast Path has put together a 3.5-mile circular trail that helps you explore.

The hike starts at the village car park at Pendeen and goes past Geevor Tin Mine, with its underground tunnels. It then takes in Levant Mine, with its working beam engine, before surging down the coast to Botallack Mine, where you can spot Poldark film locations.

You then cut inland, along lanes and through fields to your start point at Pendeen having seen some cracking scenery en route.

Note If you want to go into the mining sites while you’re doing this walk - check whether you need to book with each Levant Mine attraction.
