Kingsand & Cawsand Walks

Scenic walks beside Whitsand Bay (2-5.5 miles)

Visiting the east Cornwall villages of Kingsand & Cawsand opens up some great circular walks. From there, the south west coast path leads south and west for 2.8 miles to Rame Head – an exposed headland with a tiny medieval chapel overlooking Whitsand Bay.

You can turn the hike into a 5.5 mile circular walk by cutting inland via the hamlet of Wiggle.

Or walk 2 miles north east along the coast to the Mount Edgcumbe Estate. This has a historic house, formal gardens, shops and cafes. It also neighbours the waterside pub, the Edgcumbe Arms and a ferry service to Plymouth’s Royal William Yard.
