Le Four à Sel Gîtes

Riverside Gîtes near Lascaux

Only 2km/1.4 miles from the charming town of Montignac and the world-famous prehistoric site at Lascaux, this beautiful gîte complex of 3 renovated farmhouses occupies a perfect riverside location alongside the Vézère river.

Set in a tranquil setting there are magnificent views of cornfields from the bedroom window. Ideal for families, groups or couples only, there are onsite facilities to keep everyone amused: table tennis, an outdoor play ground; a courtyard for boules and badminton; enough land for children to run around safely and freely; private fishing from dawn to dusk on the river frontage and free WiFi. All gîtes have outdoor furniture, parasols, a shady terrace and BBQ for al fresco dining.

This is an ideal base to explore the Périgord, an area that is great for walking, cycling and golf holidays. For golf lovers, there are two 18 hole golf courses nearby. If however, all this is not enough then one of the best markets in France can be found in the beautiful town of Sarlat (Wed & Sat am) only 25 minutes drive away!
