Autumn: Sep, Oct & Nov

Chippenham Park Gardens 14-10-2012

September and October can be quite mild, but by the end of October and November it does get much chillier. Winds can be a problem and there can be quite heavy periods of rain. The further inland you go, overnight temperatures can be much lower. Frosts and possible snow showers are possible in November.

Waterproof clothing recommended. Layering up is advisable, as it can be quite warm at times earlier in the season.

Most leisure and holiday attractions are open until the end of October, before closing for the winter.

Events

Halloween events are widely held in the final week of October. November usually sees a number of evening illuminated trails being held in historic houses and gardens such as Luminate at Sandringham.
