A museum which showcases the work of painter Sir Alfred Munnings who specialised in artwork relating to horses, showing them in a variety of different settings.
This is the largest collection of his work in the world, with over 650 oil paintings, as well as sketchbooks, studies and ephermera.
A relaxing place to visit within the pretty village of north Essex village of Dedham.
While in Dedham you can also enjoy riverside walks within a landscape that was well known to another celebrated painter of countryside scenes - John Constable who was born near here.
Deham is just off the A12 at Junction 30. Parking available in car park on the edge of the village.
The Museum is only open from spring to late autumn.
Entry is by pre-booked ticket for which there is a charge.
