Bury St Edmunds Tours

There are a number of guided tours which can provide a more detailed exploration, but these have to be booked in advance. All these walking tours start very close to the town centre.

Bury St Edmunds Guided walk 2pm daily April - October 90 minutes long. Booking closes one hour before the start. 1,000 years of history from talking wolves to Dickens Mr Pickwick. Ghostly tours - winter only from Halloween to March. Starts 6.30 lasts 90 minutes Adults and Children 14+ haunted churchyards, ghostly encounters, murderers.

Cathedral tours April - October Monday to Saturday 11am exploring the cathedral Tower Tours Wednesdays 2pm, Saturdays 10.30 March-October climb 202 steps up the cathedral tower. Narrow stairs and great views. Not suitable for under 10’s

Westgate Brewery. Tour of brewery times vary, see how the beer is made and climb 100 steps to the roof. Narrow stairs, best for adults only Talk & tasting tour Walk through town discovering brewery buildings and what they were used for, ending with a tutored tasting of different brews.
