Pärnu Beach
Fine white sand
Pärnu’s glorious white-sand beach is packed with sunbathers in July and August and is an invigourating place for a stroll all year round. The beach’s central stretch is backed by a promenade lined with cafés and ice-cream stalls. Kiosks rent out kitesurfing and windsurfing gear, and there is the Tervise Paradiis aquapark towards the southeast.
Overlooking the central part of the beach is the Rannahotel, a cream-coloured ocean liner of a building that has become an icon of Estonian inter-war modernism.
Just west of the Rannahotel is a colonnaded neoclassical building housing the Pärnu Mud Baths (Pärnu mudaravila), still providing the spa treatments that made the town such a popular health resort a century ago.
