Püssirohukelder, Tartu
Roomy beer hall (l, d; €€)
In a cavernous, red-brick armoury built under land-grabbing Russian Tsar Peter the Great, Püssirohukelder (”gunpowder cellar”) is a suitably atmospheric place in which to swig beer at big wooden tables and tuck into platefuls of pork and sauerkraut.
Occasional live music, when there may be a cover charge.
