Kohvik Rotund, Tartu
No-fuss food and drink in the park (l, d; €)
Very much a Tartu landmark, this octagonal pavilion (not actually a rotunda despite the name) stands in the Castle Hill Park and soaks up its fair share of summer strollers.
The fact that there’s been a café on this site since 1897 makes it something of a pilgrimage spot for urban heritage buffs, although the current retro-styled building dates from 1994.
Expect inexpensive, simple hot dishes, cakes and coffee; and a unique leafy location.
