Acropolis Museum
The history of Athens under one roof
The Acropolis Museum houses the findings from the archeological site of the Acropolis of Athens and Parthenon – from the Greek Bronze Age to Roman and early Byzantine Greece. As you walk to the entrance you’ll walk over the ruins of a part of Roman and early Byzantine Athens where glass walkways have been constructed.
There are more than 4250 permanent objects on display and several visiting exhibitions.
It’s possible to hire a certified guide to show you around or an audio guide in several languages
For Kids aged 6-12 years there’s an interactive learning zone, and with a cafe on the top floor with outside seating and magnificent views of the Parthenon, it’s an ideal place for all the family to visit.
