The Alexandros Soutsos Museum
Founded in 1900, the National Art Gallery of Greece–located in Athens–has over 20,000 paintings, sculptures, engravings and the like, ranging from the post-Byzantine period to the present day.
It’s named after the Greek poet Alexandros Soutsos who lived in the 1800’s.
The Gallery has also merged with the Evripidis Koutlidis Foundation and on site you’ll find over 5,000 wood, bronze, marble and stone sculptures plus paintings, microsculptures, terracottas, drawings and pottery.

Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday: 09: 00-17: 00
Saturday, Sunday: 09: 00-16: 00
Every Tuesday and all public holidays the museum is closed.
