Serenade Chinese Restaurant

Artsy dim sum with a view (b,l,d; $)

There’s no finer place for dim sum on Tsim Sha Tsui‘s waterfront than Serenade Chinese Restaurant. It offers great views of Victoria Harbour and its prices are reasonable (note that dim sum is served only until 4:30pm).

It’s famous for its “figurine” dim sum, like the squid-shaped red bean buns or the shrimp dumplings shaped like a goldfish. Not to be missed is the deep-fried spring rolls with crushed garlic or shrimp paste, artfully presented and with a delicious dipping sauce. Finally, if you’re willing to dine weekdays before 11:30am (excluding holidays), the prices for dim sum are even cheaper than the prices below. What’s not to like about this place?

Unfortunately, it’s a bit difficult to find. From the ferry terminal, walk around the Cultural Centre on the harbor side and look for the sign up to the first floor.
