Symphony of Lights

Nightly laser & light extravaganza

The Guinness World Records backs up Hong Kong’s claim that Symphony of Lights is the “World’s Largest Permanent Light and Sound Show.” Every night, crowds gather along the Tsim Sha Tsui waterfront and Bauhinia Square in Wan Chai to watch this impressive 18-minute show featuring colored lights, laser beams and searchlights projected from more than 45 buildings on both sides of the harbor.

On Monday, Wednesday and Friday nights, spectators can also listen to synchronized music and English narration at both locations. I wouldn’t go out of my way for this, but it’s a fun thing to do if you have kids. Alternatively, try to snag a window seat in a bar or restaurant for a more comfortable experience.
