Friendship

Muskets & Moccasins

A stop on the many trails including the Chief White Eye, and Laughery Creek Historic Trail, Friendship had its first post office in 1837 when it was still called Hart’s Mill.

History abounds here with historic buildings in the downtown and the four-span arched Friendship Bridge built in 1908. The Friendship Tavern & Restaurant opened in 1932

Carl Dyers, specializing in custom made moccasins, opened in the 1920s and moved to Friendship in 1982.

Established in 1933, The National Muzzle Loading Rifle Association holds major events twice a year. Its headquarters are in the John Linsey Rand home that dates to 1875.

Located on the Laughery Creek, named after a skirmish during the Revolutionary War, there’s opportunities for kayaking, tubing, and canoeing.
