Casa Museo Lope de Vega
Former home of the Golden Age dramatist
Located in the reconstructed home of the Spanish Golden Age playwright, the Casa de Lope de Vega is a charming little museum shining a light on the complex life of the dramatist and seventeenth-century Madrid, a city which the writer described as "a beautiful Babylon".
The tiny chapel, the writer's study, an intriguing Arabic-style drawing room and the picturesque courtyard garden are of particular interest.
