Chez Bahia

Good-value cheap eats (b,l,d; $)

MarTajines2

Chex Bahia is a simple, reliable, cheap restaurant, less than 200m off the Jemaa el Fna.

Chez Bahia opens in time for breakfast, which typically features freshly made msimmen (a chewy griddle bread, not unlike a paratha). For lunch and supper they have tajines (30–50dh), including a vegetarian one. Alternatively, there are brochettes (skewer kebabs, 40dh).

This isn't gournet dining, but it's great value and their tajines are decent enough. You'll be hard put to spend more than 75dh on a meal here, but do check your bill, as errors are not unknown.
