Amandine
Classy cakes & pastries to eat in or take out
Amandine is an elegant patisserie and coffee lounge, an ideal place to relax with a coffee and pastry, or even a Continental breakfast.
The atmosphere here is pleasantly refined, the coffee good, and the cakes wonderful, whether you eat in or take out. They do almond-stuffed Moroccan pastries, including cornes de gazelle (crescent-shaped “gazelle horns”). They also have French-style cakes, mostly made with cream, but the house speciality is macaroons (8.30dh each), which come in a variety of colours and flavours.
Amandine opens early enough for breakfast, which will set you back around 85dh for a coffee, juice and petit pain. Most people, however, will prefer to pop in for elevenses, or for an afternoon coffee break.
