Amal
Restaurant & workshop run by trainee women chefs (l; $$)
Hidden away in a leafy residential street, Amal is a self-help women's co-op serving tasty lunches at good prices. They also run cookery workshops.
A not-for-profit training school for women from poor backgrounds, Amal helps them train to work in the catering trade, and runs a wonderful little open-air restaurant serving low-priced lunches.
The menu changes daily, but there's always a choice of two or three starters (typically 30–45dh), three or four main courses (45–70dh) and a couple of desserts (25dh), all freshly made and very tasty. On Fridays they have couscous.
