La Crêperie de Marrakech
Sweet & savoury Breton-style crêpes (l,d; $)
Every day is pancake day at La Crêperie de Marrakech, where all the dishes are crêpes of one sort or another.
In a city where “crêpes” usually just means Moroccan msimmen griddle-bread, this is the real thing. You could start with a savoury one – vegetarian, for example, with courgettes and fromage frais (50dh) – and round it off with a sweet one, such as a classic crêpe Suzette, doused in flaming Grand Marnier (50dh).
Prices are low, and at lunchtime they offer a bargain Captain Hook menu (no crocodile) for just 70dh. If you're lucky, this being a Breton joint, they may even have some cider to wash it down with.
Dreist (“great!”), as they say in Brittany.
