Marrakesh Menara Airport (RAK)

Marrakesh Menara airport (RAK) is on Avenue Guermassa (R212), 4km southwest of the city centre.

There are direct flights to various British and European airports with airlines such as EasyJet and Ryanair, but the only regular direct domestic flights are to Casablanca (with Royal Air Maroc, 4+/day, 40min).

Cab fares

Prices for cabs from the airport to town are fixed and should be displayed in arrivals. Downtown Guéliz or the central Medina should be 70dh by petit taxi (1–3 passengers), or 105dh by grand taxi (up to six passengers), and half as much again by night. This is about three times as much as you would pay on the meter, if they used it, which they won’t. Even to get the official rate, you’ll need to insist, as cabs will try to overcharge you if they can.
