Museo Anahuacalli
Diego Rivera's pre-Hispanic art collection
This pyramid-like volcanic rock building houses Diego Rivera’s collection of some 2,000 pieces of pre-Hispanic art hailing from central western Mexico.
Rivera’s friend, the painter and architect Juan O’Gorman, was influenced by the organic architecture of Frank Lloyd Wright when he built Anahuacalli in the 1950s.
