Autumn: Sept, Oct & Nov

The last Biking before the winter

September is arguably Montreal's most pleasant month of the year: the heat of the summer has generally ebbed away and average daily temperatures lie around 23ºC.

October sees rapid changes, with temperatures really starting to drop – shorts go to the back of the wardrobe and the long trousers come out again. By November you can expect overnight frosts too.

Events

The festival calender really begins to quieten in the Autumn, though there are films and gigs aplenty for those who like indie art, while The Magic of Lanterns provides a pleasant focus for family outdoor activities.
