Summer: June, July, August
With temperatures often topping 30ºC and with the humidity regularly making them feel more like 40ºC, Montreal can be a very sweaty summer destination.
No matter though, because summer-time Montreal provides more reasons than ever to pay it a visit, with one festival book-ending (sometimes even overlapping) another for the entire season. Many festivals involve outdoor stages with free live shows which start after dark when temperatures have dropped.
It's also worth bearing in mind that The Underground City is mostly air-conditioned and offers an easy escape from the street-level heat, while most of Montreal's outdoor pools and lidos are free to use and scattered throughout the city.
