Mckibbin's Irish Pub
Classic pub (l,d; $$)
The Irish were once one of Montreal's most sizeable immigrant groups, but while of their cultural influence has dwindled over the years, the community have left several Irish pubs in their wake.
Opening in 1912 Mckibbin's has long been a stalwart of the scene and has a handy location a block from all the Crescent Street nightlife.
The atmosphere and craic is much like any Irish pub the world over – but the not all offer "Guinness quesadillas" and "fighting Irish nachos" or the "McKibbin's Classic Poutine".
Successful fusion bar food nonetheless; full Irish breakfasts for $15 on weekends.
Mckibbin's has another location in central Montreal in The Plateau at 3515 St. Laurent.
