Metro & Bus Fares

The simplest fare option is the single ($3.75), the only fare sold on buses (except the airport bus – see below) where exact change is required. This ticket is valid on both buses and metros and allows transfers between the two for direct journeys of up to 2hrs.

At metro station dispensers and counters you can also get 2-trip ticket ($7) which lower the cost of each journey, save you lining up again and can be used at any time for the return journey.

Time-based alternatives – also from metro station dispensers and counters – include: 24hrs ($11) Evening ($6.00; valid 6pm–5am); Weekend ($15.25; 4pm Fri to 5am Mon) and 3-Day ($21.25) passes.

Opus Cards

This credit card is a credit-card swipe pass onto which you can load credit for the metro and bus system at any metro station and selected drug and convenience stores.
