SkyWheel
Ultimate view
The SkyWheel on the Myrtle Beach oceanfront was the first of its kind in the United States. It was the second in North America and the highest wheel east of the Mississippi! It’s 200 feet high, much more than a Ferris Wheel, along the oceanfront at the north end of the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk. It features 42 climate-controlled glass-enclosed gondolas. The ride delivers the ultimate experience with a view of the Atlantic Ocean and the central Myrtle Beach area.
The lighted SkyWheel can be seen at night for miles up and down the beach.
It’s right in the center of the downtown action for tourists with dozens of easual eateries, souvenir shops, arcades and activities within a few blocks. Plan to wait in line for the ride during the summer.
Parking during the busy summer season is sometimes limited to pay lots on the parallel streets.
