It looks like a church which was its original use. The antique stained glass, beveled glass, flooring and heavy doors came from other churches and a farm house. A main dining room and several small nooks offer the ambiance of a private gathering if desired.
The chef/owner Ed Murray, Jr. has been named one of the Best Chefs in America along with such notables as Wolfgang Puck.
The restaurant is frequently an Open Table Diners’ Choice winner, a TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence winner and was named by Diners Choice in 2012 in the Top 100 American Fare Restaurants in the U.S.
The Charleston She Crab Soup is rich and authentic, or try a Fried Green Tomato starter. Several good steak, veal or lamb entrees are offered, and the seafood is especially tasty with such entrees as Cornbread Encrusted Grouper, Crab Stuffed Flounder or Little River Shrimp and Scallops. Plenty of variety is sure to please the discriminating palate, and many entrees can be selected in petite or full size.
