Murrells Inlet
The small community of Murrells Inlet is the self-proclaimed seafood capital of South Carolina. It’s an easy drive south of Myrtle Beach. This little town features more than a dozen restaurants which specialize in fresh catch directly from the local docks. A few seafood markets offer the best of the day too.
The Marsh Walk is a one-half mile boardwalk along the marsh where evening crowds spill out of the restaurants and bars for strolling and socializing. Several choices of live entertainment may be available during weekends or high season.
Enjoy the view with twinkling evening lights of Garden City across the marsh. Bring a camera to capture the pelicans perching on nearby pilings or the small herd of goats which live seasonally on their own tiny island.
Local festivals and live entertainment in the Murrells Inlet restaurants are frequent and take advantage of the views and the community ambiance.
