Ferry
For an island country, there aren’t a lot of ferries in New Zealand.
Interislander and Bluebridge run ferries connecting the North and South Island daily, between Wellington and Picton.
Fullers 360 runs ferries between Auckland and Hauraki Gulf islands, including Waiheke, Rangitoto and Titritiri Matangi.
Stewart Island Experience runs the ferry between Bluff and Stewart Island.
There are also shuttle boats and water taxis running between places such as Paihia and Russell in the Bay of Islands, to Ulva Island at Stewart Island, and in Abel Tasman National Park.
