Kids & Families

Alpaca with boy

Not all of Peru is an easy place to travel with kids. However, many experienced travel families love their time here. Residential areas of all cities have playgrounds, parks and other areas for kids to run around and play. Outside of cities, most touristy areas have restaurants with play areas for kids. Peruvian families travel with their kids and usually take a couple hours for lunch, which is why restaurants provide entertainment for kids.

Fun places for kids

Lima has the most kid-friendly attractions like Circuito Mágico del Agua and Parque Kennedy. In Cusco, go up to Christo Blanco where kids fly kites. Between Christo Blanco and Sacsayhuaman is a restaurant with a large fish pond and paddle boats. In the Sacred Valley, many places have guinea pigs that kids can feed. In Urubamba, a couple restaurants have bouldering walls for kids.
