Ica
Peru’s vineyards
Ica is best known as Peru’s wine making capital. Most people visit Ica to tour the vineyards and sample wine.
Another draw in Ica is the park Las Brujas de Cachiche, on the southern edge of town. There are legends about witches who lived here and there is a bronze statue commemorating one of the “witches,” Julia Hernández.
Ica is a four and a half hour drive south of Lima, which is the closest major airport.
