Best 3⋆ for Inti Raymi
This is one of the few Cusco hotels I’ve actually stayed at. Everything about it was nice, without being exceptional. The rooms are comfortable, but generic. Only the lobby and common areas downstairs really show that you’re in Cusco. This is a good value for the location and service but if you want character, look elsewhere.
However, if you’re in Cusco on June 24th, this is one of the best places to stay in town. It’s right across the street from the Qorikancha, where the first part of the Inti Raymi celebration takes place at about 9:00am. Make sure you ask for a room with a view of the Qorikancha, which will give you the best view in all of Cusco. The ceremonies take place on the lawn that faces Avenida El Sol and the terraces above, all of which you have a great view of from the hotel.
