Machu Picchu Route 1D

Inka Bridge route

Machu Picchu route 1D

For this route, choose Circuit 1 and then Route 1-D: Inka Bridge. Note that this is only abailable in the high season from April through December

The Inka Bridge is not particularly popular, but if tickets are sold out for other options, this is a fun alternative.

You only get to see the upper terraces, so it’s good for photographers who don’t want to walk through the ruins.

The bridge is behind the ruins and was the back door to Machu Picchu, or perhaps an escape route.

Read more about the Inka bridge here.
