Nyons
An introduction to Drôme Provençale
This small town on the River Eygues in the Drôme Provençal is well worth visiting. Check out the Medieval hump-backed Pont Roman across the Eygues and the unusual 13th Century Tour Randonne.
Nyons is renowned for both olives and olives oil. There are oil mills to visit in addition to a wine/olive cooperative in Place Olivier-de-Serres. If you visit on a Thursday don't miss the colourful weekly market!
