An Teallach

Simply mind-blowing hike (7–11hrs)

An Teallach

Many aficionados claim that the loop taking in An Teallach is Britain’s finest mountain hike, and the landscape here is indeed of the highest-order. The terrain and the views of neighbouring peaks and lochs are simply magnificent.

But all this comes at a price: it’s a long walk with a good bit of tricky scrambling and exposure.

It’s the sort of place where hikers do die, so you should be experienced, fit, well-equipped and pick a good-weather day.
