Day 3: Torridon–Ullapool

88–105 miles (3hrs)

This leg of the journey has you driving on relatively easy roads alongside quiet sea lochs to reach Ullapool, the region’s most significant town.

There are a good number of stops and short hikes along the way – as well as some tremendous ones, including An Teallach, for the well-prepared.

Museums and monuments to WWII history are another draw.

Meanwhile, if you fancy taking part in a guided outdoor activity, be sure to check out the selection offered at Shieldaig Lodge.

The sequence of points-of-interest along the route is: Torridon - Kinlochewe - Shieldaig Lodge - Inverewe Gardens - Rubha nan Sasan - Aultbea - An Teallach - Corrieshalloch Gorge - Ullapool
