Clothes

Stock up on essentials

Given the tropical climate, you don’t need to take many clothes to Thailand; a few sets of shorts and T-shirts should do.

That means you’ll have plenty of room in your bag for new clothes to take home, so stock up on essentials like shirts, socks and underwear.

Since most Thais are smaller than Westerners, the only problem you may find is that the vendors don’t have your size, though many items of clothing these days are free size.

Clothes also make great presents, especially something typically Thai like boxing shorts.
