Fairer World

Something for everyone, and all fairly traded

A delightful local shop five minutes from the Minster, run by Moira and Charlie Bridge, two devoted stalwarts in the fair trade cause who gave up their day jobs to do full-time what they had long since done in their free time.

Popular with both locals and students from nearby St John's University, who find it handy for quick eats.

Food items include groceries, as well as nuts, sweets, biscuits and chocolate.

The small shop also manages to cram in a huge selection of non-food goods, ranging from gifts, ecological household goods, jewellery, stationery, to books and toys.

TIP If you're peckish, check out the small fridge in the corner for cold drinks and back up with a fairly-traded snack.
