Sydney International Airport and Melbourne International Airport are Australia’s major global gateways, though Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide airports also offer convenient international connections.
Non-stop international routes include New Zealand and the South Pacific, Asia, North and South America, the Middle East and South Africa. Flights to/from Europe and North America’s eastern seaboard require at least one transit stop, though Qantas flies non-stop between Perth and London. Qantas is Australia’s national carrier. Virgin Australia also serves a number of global routes.
