Hike Yoho National Park

We stopped mid hike to take in all of our surroundings, nothing but quiet nature and fresh air.

In Yoho National Park, the trails of Lake O’Hara are superb, but hard to access because of the quota system.

In the Yoho Valley a few shorter hikes, like Takakkaw Falls, beckon, but otherwise the trails reward hikers prepared to do long day hikes or overnight trails such as the Iceline. This makes Emerald Lake the best for half-day hikes.

Emerald Lake

Yoho's most accessible large lake

Iceline & Whaleback Trails

Superb trails with awe-inspiring views (6hrs/17k/hard)

Lake O’Hara

Gorgeous lake & mountain scenery: but limited access

Takakkaw Falls

Spectacular falls, easily reached (20mins/1.3km/easy)
