Animal Flower Cave Restaurant
Breezy clifftop location (l; $$)
The dramatic cliff-top location at North Point of the Animal Flower Cave Restaurant – named after the nearby tourist attraction – is reason enough to visit, but the restaurant offers quality cuisine to match, though there’s little by way of an inexpensive lite bite, beyond a tasty roti (BD$35).
Mains include roasted pumpkin and chickpea curry to Blackbelly lamb stew. Ingredients are fresh but prices are steep for a lunchtime menu – you most definitely are also paying for the mesmerising sight of waves constantly crashing onto the rocks below while you tuck into your meal. Wine and beer are served, but a refreshing non-alcoholic Bentley hits the spot just as well.
