Naniki

It’s all about the view... (l; $–$$)

Nanki Restaurant & Cottages,Surinam Barbados

There’s no doubt that the lush setting and stunning views are what make Naniki special, whereas the food can sometimes disappoint. Hidden away in tropical surroundings, exuding rustic charm, this breezy wooden restaurant sits on a hillside off Highway 3 – just before the road plunges down Horse Hill to Bathsheba.

Given its secluded, tranquil feel and the expansive views down to the Atlantic coast from the dining area, it’s an ideal spot to take time out from a busy day. The inexpensive lunch menu offers light meals, including burgers, wraps and catch of the day.

Naniki is also a wellness centre and retreat, offering yoga, massages and invigorating hikes.

Every Sunday there’s a buffet lunch, occasionally accompanied by live music. Naniki also organises an annual two-day music festival. Keep an eye out for other live music events too.
