Surfer’s Café

Breakfast by the beach (b,l,d; $)

Famed for its big breakfasts aimed at hungry surfers who’ve just come in from riding the waves, Surfer’s Café provides plenty to satisfy all stomachs, all day long. And its terrace is bang on the beach, to catch the morning sun.

The build-your-own two-egg breakfast (BD$34) includes three sides from bacon to buljol, potatoes to plantain and lots more.

There’s lighter, standard fare on the lunch and dinner menus, from inexpensive wraps, flatbreads, burgers and salads, to steak, ribs and catch of the day.

Thursday night is live reggae night, a good time to sample the cocktails
