Meyronne
Former home of the Bishops of Tulle
This lovely village on the banks of the Dordogne River was once home to the Bishops of Tulle - they certainly knew how to pick an idyllic spot!
There are lots of nice little Quercynois houses here and the village is built into the cliffs along the river. It is ideally located for touring the Quercy and the villages of Gluges, Creysse and Carennac are nearby.
Not far away are the world-famous sites of Rocamadour and the Gouffre de Padirac.
Don't miss the view along the river Dordogne from both sides of the bridge below the village.
