Hunstanton

Hunstanton beach from the sea

Often given the nickname Sunny Hunny, Hunstanton is a busy east coast resort that actually faces west. You can see Lincolnshire in the distance!

Resort

Hunstanton was a purpose built Victorian resort, which has become very commercialised with amusement arcades, fun fair, family activities like crazy golf and Pitch‘n’Put. A seasonal land train operates from the Searles Leisure resort to the Lighthouse and back. The Oasis sports and leisure centre has a roller skating rink, swimming pool and children’s adventure Play Centre.

Beach

A sandy beach, which gets very busy close to the town, but quieter spots can be found just a few minutes walk along the beach. There are lots of rock pools. A good family beach with clear shallow water.

Old Hunstanton

Old Hunstanton is slightly more upmarket, and centres around the original pre-Victorian settlement. Most of the buildings are Victorian in style. You can download a 1.8 mile themed treasure trail route around Old Hunstanton from treasuretrails.co.uk which is quite fun and makes you look at the town in a different way.
