Africa Alive

Africa-themed zoo

The ideal way to discover the vast array of wildlife from Africa, from giraffes to lions, pancake tortoise to parrots and cranes.

Meet 1000 animals within 60 acres of parkland. The park is divided into areas like the Kingdom of the Lion, and Lemur Encounters. In the Plains of Africa, many animals like zebra and giraffe roam freely together as they would do in the wild.

Special experiences

Special experiences can be booked such as Meet the Aardvarks in which you can enter the enclosure with a keeper and interact with the animals or join a Safari truck to meet giraffes, rhinos and other wildlife.

There is quite a lot of walking between the various areas and a free Safari Road train makes it easier for tired kids.

A pleasant, relaxing place to visit guaranteed to keep kids entertained all day. The flat pathways are pushchair friendly and there is plenty of grassy space to sit down and have a picnic.

Takeaway food available.
