Zoos, Safari Parks & Farms
The East of England zoos and wildlife sanctuaries mainly focus on endangered animals.
Africa Alive, Amazona Zoo, Hillside Animal & Shire Horse Sanctuary, Pleasurewood Hills theme park are all coastal attractions close to holiday resorts.
Others such as Banham Zoo, Pensthorpe, Thigby Hall, Bewilderwood and Roar!! are inland often in rural areas where access is mainly limited to cars as public transport is more limited.
Colchester Zoo is an exception in that it is located on the outskirts of one of the major towns in Suffolk.
Booking in advance recommended for any special events, but otherwise you can buy an entry ticket on the day.
