Suffolk Coast Path
Explore shingle beaches, heathland and ancient woodlands
Stretching 60 miles from Felixstowe to Lowestoft, the Suffolk Coastal Path can be broken into shorter walking opportunities, or taken as a long distance route.
It covers a wide range of habitats including ancient woodlands, shingle beaches, heathland and seaside promenades.
The route passes through Tunstall Forest, Snape Maltings, Thorpness, RSPB Minsmere, Dunwich as well as the popular seaside locations of Southwold and Kessingland, all of which provide access to toilets, cafes and overnight accommodation if required.
Most of the route is fairly flat, and easy walking but beware that cliffs are liable to erosion so stay away from the edges.
